What you will be doing:

  • Designing and preparing 6-monthly seasonal menus, taking into account feedback from catering staff, Nursery Managers, and Regional Managers
  • Supporting and guiding catering staff and working closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure meal preparation meets high standards
  • Monitoring kitchen and food safety standards to maintain compliance and excellence
  • Assisting with the recruitment and onboarding of catering staff
  • Auditing nursery kitchens to ensure they meet internal and external food safety requirements (TCC and PSN)
  • Ensuring all kitchen paperwork is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant
  • Building strong, professional relationships with nursery staff to create a collaborative kitchen environment

Previous experience in similar settings — such as nurseries, schools, care homes, or hospitals — is highly desirable, particularly where nutritional needs and food hygiene are a priority.
